Humitech
Commercial Panel

Humitech believes that it‘s service will benefit any party utilizing its service by reducing operational costs through the minimization of fresh food waste, and decreased energy usage.   Please consider the following information.  Our product and service has been available for nearly 30 years around the Country.  We offer an innovative and effective product that is currently being used by thousands of food service facilities around the world and Humitech’s product has been proven to save money for it’s customers while improving the quality and enhancing the safety of the food served.

Our Product:

The proprietary product of Humitech is a humidity control system which is placed in walk-in and reach-in refrigeration units and freezers within commercial establishments including restaurants, retirement centers, hospitals, universities, schools, caterers, country clubs, grocery stores, refrigerated and frozen warehouses, meat processors, florists, and any other business that uses freezers or refrigeration units.

Our commercial system is composed of a series of panels containing a 100% natural material known as “Sorbite”. Humitech owns the rights to the source of Sorbite which is found in the southwestern United States. Sorbite is the only natural material in the world that is known to absorb as much as 60% of its own weight. It is also the only natural material that will desorb moisture to maintain the ideal cold food storage environment.

As a result, our humidity control system provides many benefits to our customers. It saves them money, improves the taste of their food, improves the quality of their food, and provides additional food safety features. Some of its principal benefits are:

  • Reduces energy costs by up to 40%

  • Reduces trim loss

  • Reduces food shrinkage

  • Reduces temperatures by 2º to 10º

  • Extends the shelf life of all perishables

  • Increases the life of refrigeration compressors

  • Reduces maintenance costs

  • Reduces odors

  • Reduces cross contamination

  • Absorbs airborne bacteria

  • Prevents the growth of mold

  • Absorbs more than 96% of Acetic Acid within 20 minutes

  • Absorbs approximately 60% of Ethylene gas in 24 hours

The benefits of Humitech’s product have been tested and verified by Rockwell International, independent labs in the United Kingdom, ATL Labs of Pennsylvania, and Southern California Edison. Our system is presently undergoing additional energy conversation testing by Duke Power and ethylene gas removal testing by Vizon Sci-tec Labs, Inc. The use of Humitech’s system has been accepted by the USDA, FDA, OSHA, DHHS, as well as other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.

Recent testing has revealed that no bacteria, including E.coli, will grow or multiply in or on Sorbite. As air circulates through the refrigerator, molecules of bacteria are trapped in the Sorbite enhancing the safety of the food stored therein.

Humitech’s system uses no electricity, has no moving parts, requires no labor on the part of the customer, and emits no harmful vapors. The system is serviced once per month by trained Humitech service personnel.

Humitech offers new customers the opportunity to try the system at no charge for up to two weeks. At the conclusion of the test, the customer may choose to have the system removed at absolutely no cost, or, as most often happens, keep the system in place. Furthermore, to ensure total customer satisfaction, Humitech requires no long-term contracts for our commercial customers. Wholesale clients, including warehouses and government agencies may be asked to commit to pre-determined terms of service.

How Our Product Works:

Sorbite is mined from our source location and shipped to our manufacturing facility. There it is processed, measured, and a pre-determined amount is sealed in our specially designed bags. After undergoing an intensive quality control inspection, the bags are then covered with a hard shell plastic cover and shipped to our distributors.

Freshly Mined Sorbite Humitech’s Manufacturing Facility

Once the humidity control panels have been received from the manufacturing facility, they are ready to go to work. Distributors examine and evaluate the condition of the customer’s coolers and freezers to determine the number of panels needed and the placement locations required to provide maximum effectiveness. Brackets to hold the panels are mounted and the panels are placed in the brackets. Panels are mounted so as to minimize interference with daily operations.

After installation, the system begins to work immediately. As refrigerated air passes through the installed panels, the Sorbite removes humidity, odors, and gasses associated with the decaying process. The result is drier air which requires less energy to cool, fresher air with no unwanted odors, and safer air with bacteria removed.

The panels trap odors, airborne bacteria, moisture, and gasses. These unwanted materials remain trapped in the Sorbite until the panels are removed and cleaned by Humitech’s trained service personnel.

Every month, the panels are removed and fresh panels are installed to ensure that our customers receive the maximum benefits from our system. The results of this system are truly amazing. To date, 90% of the customers participating in the free trial have continued as clients.
